DAY 1 BAMAKO
Arrival to Bamako.
Transfer to the hotel.
DAY 2 BAMAKO – SEGOU
After breakfast, departure to Segou. Lunch in Segou. Visit of the former colonial district, the two ancient mosques of the city, the overview to see the various exhibitions of pottery made by women.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 3 SEGOU – DJENNE
After breakfast, departure to Djenne.
Arrival to Djenne, setting up and lunch at the campsite, city tour : the famous mosque, the market place, the different narrow streets, visit of the museum of Djenne’s history.
DAY 4 DJENNE – MOPTI
After breakfast, departure to Mopti.
Arrival and settle down at the hotel, lunch.
DAY 5 / 6 THE NIGER RIVER
Embarkation on board of a smack to Timbuktu ; during the cruise, you meet the riverside populations : the Bozo, the Somono whose main activity is fishing, the Peul, the shepherds and the Sonraï who are farmers. We stop from time to time to meet populations living on the riverside so as to get the most of their culture. The different overnights are in bivouac.
JOUR 7 / 8 TIMBUKTU
In the afternoon, at the port of Kouriomé. Transfer to Timbuktu. Setting up, dinner and overnight at the hotel.
The day after, city tour : the mosques, the explorers’ houses, the museum, the Hamed Baba centre and the market place. Lunch at the hotel.
In the afternoon, camel ride in the desert to visit a Tuareg campsite. Meeting with the men in blue.

Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 9 / 10 / 11 / 12 YOUGA NAH/ KOUNDOU /BANANI/ TIRELI
The Dogon ethnic group lives in the Bandiagara’s cliffs. The Dogon country is divided in three territories : the plateau, the cliff and the plains. Until now, the Dogon have been able to preserve their traditions thanks to a social community spirit based on an ancestral beliefs mix. The Dogon architecture is typical. From Youga Nâh to Tireli, during treks, you visit villages set high up the sides of Bandiagara’s cliffs, like Youga Dogorou , Youga Nâh, Youga Piri, Koundou, Koundou Dâh, Arou, Ibi, Neni, Nanani, Pèguè, Ireli, Yaye, Amani, Tereli villages. The last night in the Dogon country is planned in the Sangha campsite.
DAY 13 SANGHA
In Sangha, after breakfast, you visit the two Ogols : that is the upper Ogol and the down Ogol. You see lofts , fetishes houses , Toguna (the chatting hut.), the women’s under menstruation house.
DAY 14 SEGOU
After breakfast, departure to Segou. Lunch and visit in San. Arrival in Segou and setting up at the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 15 BAMAKO / DEPARTURE
After breakfast, departure to Bamako. Arrival in Bamako, lunch at the San Toro. City tour : the national museum, the market place, the craftsmen’s house, San Toro gallery. Transfer to the airport.
